You mean a 135 by Captain Sim? Thats not a 135, its a 767... and the CLS KC-10 is pretty average.

The plan is to make one of these such that it can refuel everyone. As an MP and as an AI

KC-135 for sure. I live pretty close to the 121st ARW, and they fly the 135s. I've always wanted a decent 135 and 121st textures for my flights.

I would love to see a good one for FSX.

The only "good" KC-135 for FS is the one from Historic Jetliners Group and it's for FS2004, so I'd also say the KC-135, especially if you guys don't want to do an FE station.
Even with PACER CRAG III installed, the only "glass" on the KC-135 is the EHSI and EADI. The engine gauges are still steam. They upgraded the MCP and autopilot when they added the triple FMS with PACER CRAG III, but it didn't fix all the problems with the autopilot from what I've been told, so good luck getting it to "wallow" like it does when in air refuel configuration.
Add the MPRS pods (Multiple Point Refueling System) on the wingtips that the KS ANG, HI ANG, and 100ARW at Lakenheath use, and you've got a great plane for both probe & drogue, and boom refuel.
Oh, and remember the KC-135R is easier to model because you don't have those pesky thrust reversers to animate.

Did CS do a 135? A nice one?
Colin,
I was a 135 Nav. The Stratotanker does have a drogue and boom configuration with the WARP system. It can also be modeled in old school steam gauges and PACER CRAG glass. The Gucci Boy 10's are just gay IMHO. Besides, CLS already did the KC-10/DC-10 for FSX. No one has ever done the KC-135. Go with the manly man's Jurassic Jet! The 135 is the backbone of USAF air refueling and will be so for another decade. You could also do the contract AR Omega Air tanker as a unique variant.
TEAM SEYMOUR says: Only the KC-135 warrants the respect of a MilViz model! Besides, I was a back-seat driver on 23577, she had a great INS!

Colin,
Despite rumors to the contrary, the Boeing KC-135 and Boeing 707 are not the same shared airframe. As for the E-model 135, it had thrust reversers (TR) for one thing. The A-model had water injection and the R-model has no TR and has newer high thrust CFM-56 engines. Empty Weight, the R-model climbs like a bat out of hell. This wiki article gives a pretty good synopsis of the 135 origins from the original Boeing designation of model 717.

anybody got good plans or layouts for this bird?
I'm looking at the PACER CRAG pit and it looks like those doodads on the center console are CDU's and not FMS'...
anyone?

The KC-135 is like the B-720. The 707 is much bigger. Search B-720 on airliners.net.
